Born William Rodriguez III, this young artist was heavily influenced by the wide range of musical sounds and styles introduced to him by his father, whose taste varied from Cerrone to Loose Ends.
Growing up in the early '80s, he was also exposed to various tones of hip-hop and the dance scene.

By the age of 4, William was an avid collector of 45s, a passion that continued to fuel his creative outlet. By 1990, this gifted 10-year-old had taught himself to play the keyboard by ear. His growth was further ignited by his cousin’s influence, introducing him to deep house tracks from labels like Strictly Rhythm, Nervous, and King Street Sounds.
By age 11, William was already spinning and honing his craft, blending hip-hop, rare groove, and underground house music at parties.

By 1992, he was making beats with two tape decks and a keyboard, and his passion for production continued to grow. As his sound evolved, William made his debut with the soulful track "Take Me to a Place," which was signed by Frankie Feliciano to the critically acclaimed Ricanstruction label. This was quickly followed by a string of remixes for Sole Channel Music, Vega Records, King Street Sounds, Nervous Records, Quantize Recordings, MN2S, and more.

Today, William “Reelsoul” Rodriguez is in high demand for his DJ, production, and remixing skills, sought after from L.A. to London. Some of his favorite artists and producers include Blaze, DJ Spinna, Masters at Work (M.A.W), and Alix Alvarez, among many others. He listens to a wide range of music that encourages him to push creative boundaries and expand his diverse sound.
